Shaw's arc angel yodelistic soul-singing can sound like a cross between Gram Parsons and Jimmie Rogers, and beneath that the band plays anything from the laid-back downer country of Kris Kristofferson or Fred Neil to a psychedelic ethereal dreamscape country sound as in the first single "Sharon"

This album is freakishly good. I mean, I'm used to good stuff from Sonny Smith / Sonny & the Sunsets, but damn... so real and tuneful and full of treats of sound. As for my favorite track, it's a tough call between at least five of them (including "Waiting," "City Life," "Pink Cake," "How to Make a Ceramic Dog," and "Androids"), but I'll pick "Sit-ups" for now. dianasenechal

Entire album is excellent. As is the rest of the catalog. Go back to 1970...take the Dead and Floyd and roll them up. Yet completely different.
Just plain old GOOD MUSIC. Ed Fransko
